Outbox English Academy will solve all of these challenges for you.

What is Home English Concierge?

We are an English academy that provides consistent, end-to-end support — from boarding schools and international schools through to overseas university admission.
In Japan, we are one of the few academies specialising in British curricula such as A-levels and the IB.
We offer a structured learning environment where students develop academic English, critical thinking skills, and essay-writing abilities in a systematic way.
This academy was founded to bridge the gap many families face when considering international education — the uncertainty around how far to prepare, what to focus on, and the lack of access in Japan to authentic British-style education.

  • Specialised in British curricula

We specialise in British curricula, equipping students with the reading comprehension, critical thinking, essay-writing structure, and discussion skills required for A-levels and the IB.

By building these skills through a British “thinking-based” approach to English, students develop academic foundations that remain essential throughout university study.

As this level of UK-focused preparation is rarely available in Japan, our academy offers a unique and highly suitable environment for families pursuing  boarding schools and UK university pathways.

Coursecourse

We offer a wide range of programmes, from overseas university preparation and STEM subject support to international school entrance interview training and home learning guidance.

For Students Aiming to Achieve Top A-level Results

This course is designed specifically for students preparing for A-levels, the key qualification for university admission in the UK.
In Japan, specialised A-level instruction is still rare, and our programme offers one-to-one guidance from tutors who have achieved A grades or higher themselves.
Beyond exam preparation, students can also ask directly about the tutors’ own application journey and university life — offering a personalised, “OG/OB visit” style experience.

"Nurturing Global Talent Together with Families"

Having completed my postgraduate studies in London, I experienced the academic rigour of the UK education system and the distinct approach it takes towards learning and critical thinking.
These experiences form the foundation of my educational philosophy.

While interest in British boarding schools and international education has grown in Japan, many families still lack access to clear, reliable information about British curricula such as A-levels and the IB, as well as how they shape a child’s future pathway.
At the same time, educators capable of delivering authentic British academic instruction remain extremely limited.

Outbox English Academy was founded to bridge this gap.
We provide end-to-end support, from British boarding schools and international schools through to university admission, delivered by educators with deep expertise in British curricula and global professional experience.

We believe that preparing for top overseas universities requires not only strong academic foundations, but also understanding and support from the whole family.
Our mission is to guide both students and parents, walking alongside families as they move towards world-class education with clarity and confidence.

This is why, alongside developing academic English skills, I also support students in building the critical thinking and adaptability needed in global environments. We provide practical guidance for students aiming to enter international schools or overseas universities.

Testimonials

Family English Learning Environment

Grade 4

I was initially anxious about English as it wasn't my strong point, but our teacher encouraged me saying, 'Let's learn together, Mom!' This led our family to start studying English together. Now I enjoy reading English picture books and watching movies with my son. What makes me happiest is when my son says, 'Mom, you're working hard too!' Our teacher has become a wonderful role model for my son

Started Tutoring for International School Admission

小学校4年

We decided to start tutoring when our daughter was applying to international school. Both my wife and I were worried about the English interview, but our teacher provided precise advice and training to improve the entire family's English skills. They supported us with everything from interview preparation to how to ask questions at school information sessions, allowing our whole family to approach the admission process with confidence. As a result, our daughter was accepted to her first-choice school. Now our entire family can handle English assignments from school together.

Passed EIKEN Grade 2 in One Year

Grade4

We initially enrolled our daughter in a regular English school, but being shy, she had trouble adjusting to group classes. The home tutoring style, which allowed her to build trust gradually in the comfort of our home, perfectly suited her personality. Our teacher customizes learning materials to match our daughter's interests, and now she truly enjoys studying English. She passed the EIKEN Grade 2 test within a year, which I believe was possible because she had a comfortable learning environment where she felt at ease.

Instant support for unexpected English school communications

Grade6

As working parents who stay late at the office on weekdays, we had given up on finding a tutoring service that required dropping off and picking up our child. This home tutoring style allows us to flexibly schedule lessons around our lifestyle. The daily LINE support has been especially helpful - they respond immediately to urgent English communications from school. Our son enjoys being able to learn at his own pace, and his grades have steadily improved since entering international school.
